Attention: Head Lice Head Lice
Dear Parents and Guardians

We are writing this letter to inform you of the increased number of cases of head lice has become very prominent at Alliston Union Public School. We are hopoing with everyone's support, we can get this stressful nuisance under control and minimize the number of students contracting head lice.

It is recommended that you check your child (children) on a regular basis. Make a habit of checking your child to ensure you catch the condition early and thereby clean up being easier. Continue to educate your child on the need to not share hats, brushes and head and head hugs. Long hair is best kept tied into a ponytail or braid.

If you find nits (eggs) in your child's hair, treatment would be required. Once treatment has been completed, the need to pull each egg out is imperative as it only takes one egg to continue the cycle.

Again, thank you for your continued cooperation, support and diligence in keeping this under control.
