Scholastic Book Fair! Eco Team's EveryONE's Garden Creation Day Team's EveryONE's Garden Creation Day<p>​​Do you love to garden or play in the dirt? Breakfast Club Club<p>​​Alliston Union P.S. is pleased to offer our students the opportunity to participate in the Breakfast Club beginning in January.  We will be offering students a nutritious breakfast on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:35 a.m. to 8:55 a.m.  All students are welcome to join us who may not have had the opportunity to have breakfast before they arrived at school or to have a little 'extra' nutrition before they begin their day of learning.</p><p>We are looking for six adult volunteers who would be available to help out one morning a week.  Please contact Mrs. Maxwell in the Office if you are available to help with this opportunity.  With thanks!<br></p>

Indoor Shoes Shoes<p>​​​As we anticipate the new school year, it is important that all students have a pair of clean, indoor running shoes that will be worn during the school day.  Shoes will be kept at school on top of the coat racks, outside each classroom.  Please label each shoe with your child's initials.  Thank you.</p>
Information for families - final Attendance Area Review decision for families - final Attendance Area Review decision<p>​​​The Simcoe County District School Board has undertaken an attendance area review for the new Alliston East elementary school, located on John W. Taylor Avenue. The new JK to Grade 8 elementary school will open in September 2017. Included in the review were attendance areas for Alliston Union PS, Ernest Cumberland ES and Cookstown Central PS. The purpose of the review was to:</p><ul><li>establish a new attendance area for the new east Alliston elementary school</li><li>address accommodation pressures at area schools</li><li>determine the location of the French as a Second Language (FSL) program for the area </li><li>examine the viability of continuing to run a modified school year calendar</li></ul><p>A public meeting was held on November 10, 2016. At the meeting, SCDSB staff presented potential scenarios and asked for community feedback. A second meeting was held on January 24, 2017 to share the recommendation(s) that SCDSB staff would be presenting to the Board of Trustees. These recommendations were brought forward for consideration by the SCDSB Business and Facilities Committee on February 1, 2017.</p><p>On February 22, 2017 the SCDSB Board of Trustees approved the recommended boundary and program changes. The following maps show the approved changes, which will come into effect in September 2017. Beeton ES" on map) at Tec.
